The path forward doesn’t have to be elusive.

Wildfoot connects ideas, evidence and technology into practical next steps — so good ideas stop stalling and start moving.

Track down what works.

Most problems aren’t unsolvable. They’re just hard to see.

Somewhere in your organization there is a process nobody can explain, a report three people rebuild by hand every month, and a good idea that stalled because no one had time to figure out the next step.

That’s the gap Wildfoot works in. We look for the evidence before proposing anything, say plainly when something isn’t working, and build for the team in front of us instead of a generic best practice — across consulting, custom development and the experiments in between.

What we do

Practical help for complicated work.

Wildfoot combines operational consulting, custom development and focused experimentation. The form of the work depends on the problem; the goal is always a useful result that holds up in the real world.

Wildfoot Consulting

Clearer operations. Practical next steps.

Operations, systems and the organizational problems that don’t fit neatly into one department — the ones that get worked around for years because they belong to everybody and nobody.

  • Process design and workflow cleanup
  • Documentation people actually use
  • Untangling how information moves between teams
  • Second opinions on a project that has stalled

Wildfoot Development

Tools built around the work.

Internal tools, automations and small custom software built for one team’s real problem instead of a generic market. AI gets used where it genuinely earns its place, and left out where it doesn’t.

  • Internal tools and dashboards
  • Automating the work nobody should be doing by hand
  • Connecting systems that refuse to talk
  • Evaluating AI tools before you buy them

Wildfoot Labs

Useful experiments, tested honestly.

Focused experimental work: ideas being tested, tools being prototyped, and approaches that may or may not work out — shared openly, including the ones that fail.

  • Prototypes and proofs of concept
  • Tools built to answer one question
  • Findings written up in Field Notes

Our approach

A clear way through complex work

The same five principles guide process work, software development and focused experiments. Understand the situation, examine the evidence, choose a direction, build something useful and improve it in practice.

01 Explore

Explore the problem

Understand what’s actually happening before assuming the answer. The stated problem and the real problem are different often enough that it’s worth checking every time.

02 Examine

Examine the evidence

Review the patterns, data, tools already sitting unused in the building, and what has been tried before. Existing evidence often saves months.

03 Decide

Choose a direction

Not every possible direction — the most useful one. Narrowing is the work. A plan with forty priorities is a list, not a plan.

04 Build

Build what works

The tool, the system, the training, the resource, the next step. Something real enough to put in front of people and test rather than admire.

05 Improve

Improve in practice

Test it. Learn. Adjust. Continue forward. A plan that never meets reality was never really a plan, and we’ll say so when something isn’t working.

Practice intelligence platform

Practice POC

A secure workspace that helps clinic leaders turn completed-month operating data into baselines, scorecards, context and better questions—without requiring patient records.

  • Clinic-specific, role-based workspace
  • Immediate operational scorecards
  • Free three-minute practice assessment

Real-time operations system

Clinic Alert Dashboard

A live room-status dashboard that translates connected button events into clear requests for cleaning, therapy aides, clinical support and emergencies.

  • Large-screen live status and elapsed timers
  • Acknowledgements, clearing and event history
  • Durable state with optional Teams notifications

Built for the day-to-day realities of a pediatric therapy clinic.

About

Who’s doing the work

Stephen Doherty · Founder, Wildfoot

Wildfoot started the way most useful things do — by solving the same problem enough times to notice the pattern.

Stephen Doherty is the Chief Administrative Officer of a multidisciplinary therapy clinic, where occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech-language pathology, behavioral health and ABA all have to work as one organization rather than five. He runs HR, billing, marketing, facilities and the therapy aide team, and leads the organization-wide projects that cut across all of them.

That means the work here isn’t theoretical. It’s built from rolling out AI documentation tools to clinicians who were already stretched thin, redesigning file and communication systems people had quietly given up on, navigating insurance network transitions, and hiring, supporting and occasionally having hard conversations with a growing team.

The through-line is the same in every case: figure out what’s actually happening, find the evidence, build something practical, and keep it moving. Wildfoot is where that work gets shared — with organizations, with teams, and in writing.

Earlier background in communications and photography, which turns out to be unusually good preparation for explaining complicated things clearly.
